Sustainable Agriculture Through Vegetarianism
I got tired of all this talk about sustainability (the latest buzz word) from meat-eating experts, who are blinded by their carnivorous bias, can't imagine a farm without lots of animals, and don't think of vegetarianism as an obvious, effective way to create a more sustainable agricultural system. I also got tired of stewing about it. So I wrote an article. It ran to four pages online, and took the better part of two days to write, but I feel so much better now!
Sustainable living refers to all life, not just to agriculture. Living the sustainable life means becoming vegetarian, or at least moving in that direction, not desperately trying to figure out how to make society's meat addiction sustainable. In that context, sustainable agriculture is an oxymoron.
I've just finished an article called Sustainable Agriculture through Vegetarianism. Now I have to put in online and post it. I'll post more about it later, but for now my search for material led me to Technorati, where I foolishly decided to claim my blog, whatever that means! But having started, I must follow through! My instructions were to post to my blog, and include the following link: Technorati Profile
"Wow, thank you so much for your input, it was very thorough and more than I expected. You rock! :)"
"I see you are passionate about this, that is why I know I came to the right person for advice."
"Thanks for the great advice Judy! You're a life-saver!"
"Thank you for your reports and encouragement ...all very much appreciated!"
"I saw lots of vegetarian sites, and yours was one of the best."
"Your email has given me some peace. This is who I am and I'm not going to fight against it anymore."
