"You can't stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes."

I've been exploring blogs, with the idea of starting one. After visiting The Green Cutting Board, the idea is all the more appealing.

Most blogs I've seen do one or more of three things:

  1. Act as the authors daily or weekly (sometimes hourly) personal/business diary, with posts ranging from stream-of-consiousness through opinionated rants to structured and thoughtful essays
  2. Promote the author's world view, and/or business, by giving out supporting information to hopefully like-minded visitors
  3. Entertain, educate, amuse, stimulate (sometimes shock), or annoy us in varying degrees

I like blogs which do all three. Good writing, solid content, and decent graphics are bonuses. Believe it or not, I found all of the above at The Green Cutting Board. If more blogs were this satisfying to visit, I would probably just blog all day long.

The Green Cutting Board is an online newsletter/blog based in Tampa FL, publishing vegetarian community news; articles and commentary about anything with a green slant; a wide range of links - food in general, vegetarian, media, animal activism; vegetarian recipes; reviews of whatever strikes the publisher's fancy. Content is wide-ranging, thoughtful, always interesting, sometimes odd, often funny. I'll be back - see you there!

See also The Gardens's Gift published by Nancy, married to Harlan, publisher of The Green Cutting Board. Sometimes I get the feeling everyone's related in the world of blogging!
