This Tip of The Week from Organic Consumers Association is cutting it a little close for Thanksgiving, but it applies to any holiday occasion, so I've tweaked it that way. I was surprised to hear that 1 in 10 Americans call themselves vegetarian. It's just not so here in the Midwest, so California must be tilting the statistics. Whether you are a vegetarian yourself or have vegetarians coming to dinner, there's no need to sweat over the holiday spread. Roughly one in ten Americans call themselves vegetarians, according to the Vegetarian Resource Group's website. With the statistics from the U.S. 2000 census, there are an estimated 5.7 million adult vegetarians in the U.S. A Traditional Holiday Dinner has a multitude of vegetarian dishes innately built-in: potatoes, beans, corn, bread, cranberries...
