Here are basic vegetarian and vegan recipes for simple foods that can be used and combined in many ways - beans, grains, cereals, pasta, vegetables, tofu.
At the end of each basic recipe, we list other recipes to try, once you know the basics. Once you have the basic vegetarian cooking methods down, then more complex dishes are easy, because they're just a collection of simple recipes.
Take rice, for example: If you have a recipe that begins with '2 cups cooked rice', instead of saying, "Forget it, I can't cook rice!" you'll know what to do. Or if you just want a simple basic vegetarian meal fast, you can make a pot of rice, add veg sausage and frozen peas - and you have supper, in 20 minutes!
