We recommend the most useful vegetarian cookbooks we've found. They have easy healthy delicious recipes, clear directions, helpful cooking tips and hints, information about ingredients, nutrition, cooking techniques, equipment and resources. We read cookbooks thoroughly and test recipes before reviewing. And we only review a cookbook if we can say mainly positive things about it.

I learned how to cook vegetarian through much trial and error, and the results of my cooking experiments were often inedible. Now there are so many vegetarian cookbooks, it's bewildering, and Savvy Vegetarian is bombarded with requests for cookbook reviews!
