Vegetarian Sausage Lover Needs Recipes

Question For Savvy Vegetarian

Hi There. I've been trying to find recipes for Veg sausages, but can't seem to find any in all the book shops I've visited. I'm probably looking at the wrong places, but I was hoping you could help me find all the different kinds of veg (cheese included)sausages and their recipes.

I'd appreciate any help you could give me. Thanks and Regards - R.E.

Savvy Veg Advice

Dear R.E.,

If you search online, I'm sure you'll find recipes involving veg sausage. If not, you can pretty much add the sausages to almost any dish. Like pasta dishes, soups and stews - just make it up - food is very flexible. Many non vegetarian cookbooks are more likely to have recipes including sausage, and you can just substitute veg sausage for meat sausage.

If you want to know how to make sausages, I don't know much about that. I do know you can make approximations, such as falafel, or veggie burgers, both of which you can get as a mix, and cook in sausage shapes, but that may not be quite what you're after.

I'm not big on highly processed foods, veg or not, that are high in sodium, and have lots of soy meal, one of the biggest sources of food allergies, hormone imbalances, digestive disturbances, and so on. Why not explore other sources of vegetarian protein? Like tofu, tempeh, beans, lentils, nuts seed, high protein grains like quinoa, etc? I've attached the free SV report on Vegetarian Nutrition - hope it's helpful.

Thanks for writing, and all the best to you!
