Welcome to Carnival of the Green #31

Carnival of the Green was created by Triple Pundit and City Hippy. Each week one green blog hosts the Carnival of the Green with a roving journal of the green blogosphere. Green as in environmental and sustainable. And not to be missed!

This weeks Carnival is hosted by the polite, friendly and brilliant Bora aka Cotournix of A Blog Around The Clock. Cotournix's specialty is circadian rhythms, and he tries to understand (and blog about) the world by making strange connections between science, religion, brain, language and sex. Well, don't we all! Last week's host was Animal Broadcast Network - "Media With Teeth", from Harlan Weikle. Next week, the big show is hosted by Savvy Vegetarian. Yup! It's my turn at last. I'm waiting to see how it goes before signing up again.

In this weeks COTG, lots of good stuff about global warming. Future Geek says the furor about same-sex marriage was orchestrated to distract us from important issues like Global Warming. And, thought I, maybe the Irag War? And likewise the immigration uproar? As in, let's focus national attention on illegal hispanics who are stealing all our crappiest jobs and don't speak proper English, and forget about those other brownskinned people whose country we're destroying for oil, who speak even worse English, and furthermore worship the wrong God!

But I digress. Grrl Scientist reviews the new Al Gore film, An Inconvenient Truth, about global warming. Francis Stokes of Sludgie sends up the wine industry with his post "Global Warming Threatens Wine Sippers' Ability To Be Completely Annoying" Funny!

Much more about greening, climate change, the EPA, veggie diesel oil, smart energy and clean water. And a somewhat disturbing post from the greenerside about the Vegan Vixens show promoting vegan clothing and cuisine with - you guessed it - sex! I thought Elsa's reaction was a little over the top, but it was this comment that I wondered at: "Disclaimer: I ate a salami sandwich yesterday and don't give a *#!$." Where did that come from? And I don't mean the pseudo swearing - I'm a grandma and I swear. Is this just more of the green-anti-veg bias that I keep bumping up against? To give her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she meant vegan salami.

Oh well! Just go visit A Blog Around The Clock and read all about it. And come back next week when Savvy Veg hosts Carnival of the Green.
