Carnival of the Green #37

Myke of Myke's Weblog has done an absolutely outstanding, super fantastic job as this weeks carnival host. All of the carnival entries were so well organized and presented. You could tell that Myke actually read them, then lovingly crafted a superb short speech about each one. They all sounded so exciting! It was difficult to decide what to read first.

One of my fave's is about whether it's in our best interest to do what we can to preserve the diversity of life on earth. Bora aka Coturnix says this about that: "Beyond a simplistic explanation - e.g., greed, short-sightedness, miseducation - I cannot even start to fathom what goes in the minds of those who would answer 'No' to this question. So, I will just leave it at that and assume that some variation of 'Yes' is a correct answer (it is for me) and try to see what one can do about it."

Harlan at Greener Magazine sent a great article on corn ethanol. "It can be popped, boiled, barbecued, and turned into flour; deep fried, used as fodder, and decorated for Halloween, so it is little wonder that so much hope has been pinned on the future of this super cob turned ethanol as answer to the current energy crisis." Then comes the best part, Harlan's graphic of Super Cob. Priceless!

And then there's Persephone's Ode To Her Composting Toilet in which the courageous technophobe, socialist, and philosophy goddess waxes lyrical about odorless poop and living simply in the Northwoods.

And much much more, from all around the green bloggy world. Something for everybody! Bring the whole family to Myke's Weblog! Carnival of the Green, was created by Triple Pundit and City Hippy as a weekly roving journal of the green blogosphere. Last weeks COTG was hosted by Powering Down. Next week, it travels to Treehugger.
