So here's our how to. Start with high quality organic apple juice. Those gallon glass bottles from Knudson are a good bet. Or the fresh pressed sold by that guy in the overalls at the farmers market. Use raw whole dried spices, not a packaged flavor mix. And don't boil it, just heat it. If you have a crock pot, that's a handy way to keep it hot, but simmering on the stove works too. Hot apple cider is a winter drink, good to serve to a crowd during or after vigorous outdoor exercise, or while watching others exercise, or at a party or potluck.
